Insiders coordinating off-platform with many fresh funded wallets that each stay under the caps (caps and the stake raise the cost but don't stop it).
Paid shills, fake socials, and influencer dumps.
Coins that simply die (most do).
Copies of the ticker on other launchpads.
Bugs. That's why there's an audit and a devnet period, and even audited programs can fail.
Tradeoff: less early hype and volume than pump.fun (no sniping or instant flips).

How a launch works

Fixed lifecycle from creation to AMM graduation

Create: creator locks a 1 SOL refundable bond, registers a unique normalized ticker, and revokes mint and freeze authorities at creation.
Uniform-price fair window (45 s): participants commit up to 0.5 SOL per wallet. Everyone in the window pays the exact same clearing price; oversubscription beyond 20% of supply fills pro-rata and refunds excess SOL.
Early phase (10 min): curve trading opens with a 1% per-wallet cap and a refundable 0.02 SOL participation stake.
Open bonding curve: after the early phase closes, participation stakes become refundable and curve trading continues toward 85 SOL.
Graduation & LP burn: at 85 SOL, liquidity migrates to the AMM and 100% of LP tokens are burned on-chain.
